Exhibit Design, Continued

FX Architecture has been an integral part of the exhibit and gallery design team at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) since 2001. Our first design was Jacob Lawrence: Over the Line, an exhibit of 77 paintings and miscellaneous ephemera. Since that time we have been fortunate to work on many projects for the DIA.

We are unique among exhibit designers because we are also an architecture firm. Our exhibit and museum designs are informed by over thirty years of experience in design and construction. This means we know construction and can design to your budget.

Our architectural training also means we understand the way people experience space. We know how people move through space. We work with your space to orchestrate movement in a meaningful way.

We will collaborate with curators, educators and conservationists and share artistic ideas and emotions of the exhibit on their level because we understand art.
I have been involved in the art world literally from birth. My father was an artist and comercial illustrator. I have been a painter and a graphic designer and the history and theory of art and architecture have always been a personal passion.

Please consider our services for your temporary, and permanent museum exhibit and building design needs.
